About Danny Trejo
Danny Trejo has developed a prolific career in the entertainment industry with a hard earned and atypical road to success. From years of imprisonment to helping troubled youth battle drug addictions, from acting to producing, Trejo’s name, face, and achievements are well recognized. Now 55 years sober, it is his continuous role as a devoted father and an intervention counselor that brings him the most satisfaction.
About The Gala
Turning Point’s Making Recovery a Reality Gala is the only fundraising event of its kind for addiction services in Metro Vancouver. This event, held in downtown Vancouver, attracts a sold-out audience of industry leaders, business professionals, and municipal and provincial government officials, representatives from the health and housing authorities, and our alumni and friends.
The funds raised at this year’s Gala will play a direct role in this endeavour by facilitating the implementation of new programs aimed at preventing overdose deaths linked to the opioid crisis.
